Showhouse is a private app for people who go to theater, comedy, opera and dance together. See what’s playing in your city and who’s going, join a friend’s night, and keep a record of everything you’ve seen.
Showhouse grows by invitation. Your plans stay among your friends.

How it works
Spot something you’d like to catch, and see which friends want it too.
Pick your night and see who else is going. If a friend is already going, join their night in one tap.
Rate it the next morning and add a review if you feel like it. Read what friends, other members and local critics thought, and keep a private note that’s just for you.

Some nights you walk out of a new play knowing what it feels like to be someone else. Some nights you laugh at a comedy club until it hurts, or watch a dancer do something you can’t explain and feel sad anyway, or giggle through Mozart after one drink too many before curtain.
Every one of those nights is better with a friend beside you, and better still when you talk about it after. Showhouse is for that part: getting there together, and remembering it.
A black box, a comedy club, an opera house, a dance series. If you go with friends, it belongs here.

In Seattle we track more than a hundred theaters and companies, small ones included. In Vancouver, New York and DC we cover the larger houses and a growing list of smaller ones. Members can add a show we missed, and theaters keep their own pages up to date.
Your plans, your call
Ratings and reviews are shared with members only, always with how many people rated; nobody signed out ever sees them. What you plan, what you’ve seen and what you want to see are for your friends. Want to keep a plan to yourself? Mark it private, and nobody else sees it, including theaters and artists. There are no ads and no push notifications, and we email only when it helps.
You can download everything you’ve put in, any time, and delete your account whenever you like.
Coming next
Suggest a few dates, friends mark which ones work, and the night with the most yeses wins. Then a note for dinner or drinks.
Sample. Each friend fills a seat on the nights they can make.
A timeline and a recap of the shows you saw, easy to look back through.
Love a local playwright, a dancer you’d follow anywhere, or a comic whose name gets you out of the house? Follow them and see where they’re performing next. Artists can claim their profiles to keep them current, add a photo, and tell fans what they’re doing next. Claimed profiles can also see auditions.
We’re a friend of the artist as much as the fan. If you work at a theater, company or club, there’s a page for you.
Local critics write some of the best things anyone says about live performance. We link to their reviews from the shows they cover, credited, so you read them in full where they were published. We’d also like a member or two in each city to become the reviewers others look to. If you see everything and love writing about it, tell us.
Showhouse grows one city at a time, with a member in each who knows its stages. If you’d like to look after your city, we’re building the tools for it: adding its theaters, approving changes and keeping its shows current. Write to us with your name, your email and the city.
